Psychological support for university teachers and students in distance learning

 

The Institute of pedagogy and psychology, Department of preschool education and social pedagogy held a webinar «Psychological support for University teachers and students in distance learning» on the ZOOM platform on May 5, 2020.


Goal - analysis of the actual problems of distance learning and the provision of psychological support to teachers and students.


The webinar was attended by Director of the Department for academic Affairs Khairulla Zhanbekov, Director of the Institute of pedagogy and psychology Berikzhan Almukhambetov, President of the Kazakh society of psychology Mukan Perlenbetov, Professor of the Kazakh national women`s Teacher Training University Mariam Bapayeva, Deputy Director for academic Affairs of the Institute of pedagogy and psychology Aktoty Akzholova, head of the Department Ulbosyn Kyyakbayeva, teaching staff and students, undergraduates, doctoral students.


The moderators of the webinar were associate Professor Ulbosyn Kyyakbayeva and acting associate Professor Assem Bulshekbayeva.


The speakers of the webinar Mukan Perlenbetov and Mariyam Bapayeva, analyzed the situation and shared their experience in organizing distance learning, as well as discussed the psychological problems that have arisen among teaching staff and students in the transition to a new format, and told how to cope with excitement and anxiety during the educational process.


Students actively participated in the webinar, asked questions, and conducted discussions. The teaching staff expressed their opinion on the difficulties and advantages of distance learning.
