Guest Lectures at Shakarim University

Within the framework of the cooperation memorandum between Abai KazNPU and Shakarim University, from May 12 to 15, 2025, Associate Professor of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy, PhD Doctor Gulbanu Abitova, delivered guest lectures to students enrolled in the educational programs «Preschool Education and Psychology» and «Preschool Teaching and Upbringing» on the topic «Contemporary Research in Preschool Education».

During the lectures, current trends in preschool education, new approaches to preparing future educators for preschool institutions, and the identification of directions for further development were discussed, taking into account the influence of technologies and artificial intelligence.

On May 13, 2025, Gulbanu Abitova participated in a meeting with the head of the department, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nurgul Sultanova, and faculty members of the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology at Alikhan Bokeikhan University. They discussed the main aspects of further joint work with the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy at Abai KazNPU.

On May 14, 2025, at the «Örleu» kindergarten in the city of Semey, Associate Professor Gulbanu Abitova and doctoral student Dinara Erdembekova participated in a regional seminar for preschool educators on the topic «Main Directions of Reggio Pedagogy in Kindergarten».

To familiarize participants with the best practices of implementing Reggio pedagogy in preschool institutions of Semey city, based on the scientific research results of doctoral student Dinara Erdembekova from the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy, master classes were organized by the educators of the «Örleu» kindergarten. Projects such as «Black and White» «Outer Space», «Secrets of Stones», «The Little Bee», and «Underwater Kingdom» were presented, where the children demonstrated their achievements.

For the signing of the memorandum between the departments of Abai KazNPU, Shakarim University, and Alikhan Bokeikhan University, goals and objectives of further joint cooperation were defined, and plans were made to organize joint events: establishing research groups for conducting fundamental and applied scientific research in the field of preschool education; developing effective methodological mechanisms for training future preschool educators; exchanging experience among research scholars; and facilitating scientific internships and academic mobility of students. The parties expressed confidence that the planned activities and joint scientific research based on the memorandum will contribute to the development of higher and preschool education in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
