“THE LEGACY OF ABAI IN THE PRACTICE OF SOCIAL AND PEDAGOGICAL WORK”

 On October 2, 2025, on the occasion of the International Day of Social Pedagogues, a scientific, educational and cultural event dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of Abai was held

The purpose of the event is to acquaint future social pedagogues with the valuable ideas reflected in the works of the great thinker Abai, who made a significant contribution to the development of the culture and spiritual heritage of the country; to foster their interest in scientific research, and to promote the process of professional socialization based on communication culture and human values.

 During the event, 1st–4th year students enrolled in the “Social Pedagogy” educational programs presented their scientific and creative works and shared their talents. Under the guidance of Nazira Atemkulova, the “Serpin” choir, consisting of 1st-year students of the 6B01802 – “Social Pedagogy” (IP) program, performed Abai’s song “Zhelsiz tünde zharıq ay”  and the song dedicated to teachers “Ustazym”.The event was attended by invited guests: Candidate of Philological Sciences, Abai scholar Zhabal Shoyynbet; Candidate of Philological Sciences, literary scholar Dauren Mukhamadiev; as well as Head of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Ulbosyn Kiyakbayeva. Among the faculty members were: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Kadisha Shalgynbayeva; Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Gulmira Shirinbayeva; and Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Raziya Karimova. Among the organizers were: Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Nazira Atemkulova; Doctors of Philosophy (PhD), Associate Professors Anar Alimbekova and Asem Bulshеkbayeva and Masters of Pedagogical Sciences, Lecturers Shyrin Alimzhan and Sandugash Raimkul.
