An open lesson was held on the topic “The Importance of Developing the Concept of Number in Preschool Age” On October 29, 2025, the final open session for the scientific internship of Dana Daurbayeva, a second-year doctoral student in the educational program "8D01201 – Preschool Education and Upbringing," took place. The objective of the open session was to demonstrate the level of theoretical and methodological preparation of doctoral students on their research topics, their pedagogical skills, and their ability to apply research findings in practice.The event was attended by PhD, Acting Associate Professor Assem Bulshekbaeva, as well as senior lecturer Zhanna Asankhanova, who provided the doctoral student and students with professional recommendations for improving the structure of the open session. The session began with a warm-up,during which poems were recited to uplift participants spirits and introduce the theme. Subsequently, the sessions topic was determined through a puzzle-solving activity. Participants were randomly selected and identified the sessions theme by assembling an online puzzle.During the session: Students presentation works were heard, where they shared their thoughts on the topic "The Significance of Forming the Concept of Number in Preschool Age." They analyzed the developmental and cognitive role of teaching counting, effective methods and techniques, as well as age-appropriate expected outcomes.Number-related tasks were performed in group and individual formats using various platforms and visual aids.This was aimed at developing students logical and creative abilities.The open session was organized in an enganing, substantive, and practice-oriented manner,demonstrating the doctoral students high level of professional and scientific competence.
