EdUHK Professor Yanjie Song Delivered a Lecture on “AI and Generative Technologies in the Educational Context: Opportunities and Challenges”

On November 21, 2025, the faculty members of the Department of Preschool Education and Social Pedagogy, along with PhD students of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years of the 8D01201 – Preschool Education program, attended a lecture delivered by Professor Yanjie Song from the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology at EdUHK. The lecture was titled “AI and Generative Technologies in the Educational Context: Opportunities and Challenges.”The lecture focused on emerging opportunities provided by artificial intelligence and generative technologies in the education system. Professor Yanjie Song presented the potential of AI tools designed to enhance students’ learning experiences, pedagogical scenarios for using generative models, and methods for integrating them into learning environments.Participants discussed ethical considerations in the use of AI technologies, issues of academic integrity, and key challenges faced when working in digital environments
