The project «Ecological clubs» has started

From September 20 to October 29, 2019, at the university, with the assistance of the Department of Educational, Social Work and Youth Policy, within the framework of the state social order of the Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Management of Almaty, the stage of training of student trainers who completed training on the «Ecological Clubs» project organized by the «Meyirim» volunteer club and the «PosadiDerevo.kz» RPA was completed.

The environmental project is aimed at the dissemination of universal values and the formation of an ecological culture among schoolchildren and students. The goal is achieved through classes in a specially designed program, which includes: card games; interactive lectures; round tables and experiments.

The objectives of the project are the study of biodiversity: introducing children to the interconnected nature of plants, animals and humans; the study of methods of conservation of natural resources: development of the ability to assess the state of the environment, make the right decisions to improve it; developing a friendly attitude towards nature: building respect for natural resources through creativity and participation in environmental activities.

From September 20, 2019, within the framework of the project, training of student trainers was carried out in 4 main areas - water resources, waste management, biodiversity, eco-sequence. 250 first and second-year studentsof a number of institutes are involved in training with the issuance of certificates. Prepared student-trainers will undergo pedagogical practice in 200 schools of Almaty, where they will create eco-clubs and conduct practical classes in ecology.

On October 29, project coordinators handed over to students-volunteers sets of thematic materials in the form of eco-bags for effective training of schoolchildren and further use when working with members of eco-clubs in schools.

The deadline for the implementation of the Ecological Clubs project is from 06/11/2019 to 06/05/2020.
