The Biological Museum was founded in 1936, expanded and renovated in 1984. The museum consists of a large 3-section hall, in which 84 showcases are installed. The museum fund consists of theriological, ornithological and entomological departments. In the Great Hall of the museum there is an exposition of the Turanian tiger (Panthera tigris migrata Illiger, 1815), the king of the tugai forests of Kazakhstan and Central Asia. This is the only stuffed animal, which is a pride and has great scientific significance not only for the university, but also for the whole of Kazakhstan.
