Seminar on "I am a researcher — a special educator: requirements for writing a project"

On April 14, 2025, within the framework of the Scientific Decade at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, the Department of Special Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology held a seminar entitled «I Am a Researcher: Project Writing Requirements», organized under the leadership of Gulnur Erzhanova, a 3rd-year doctoral student and head of the «Young Scientists» club.

The main objective of the event was to develop the research competencies of students, master`s and doctoral students, to stimulate interest in scientific inquiry, and to support innovative ideas and creative initiatives.

The seminar was attended by academic and teaching staff of the Department of Special Pedagogy, as well as students, master`s and doctoral students.

The welcoming address was delivered by the Head of the Department of Special Pedagogy, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Associate Professor Akbota Autaeva. During the event, practical advice and recommendations were also shared by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Akmaral Rsaldinova, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Olga Zavalishina, and Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer Dinara Baidosova.

Members of the «Young Scientists» club presented their scientific research and project work. The presenters included: Gulnur Erzhanova, a 3rd-year doctoral student in the «8D01901 - Special Pedagogy» program; Camila Tolendiyeva, a 1st-year doctoral student in the same program; Meirbek Toktabaev, a 2nd-year master`s student in the «7M01908 - Special Pedagogy: Autism Spectrum Disorders» program; Tatyana Marchenko, a 4th-year undergraduate student in the «6B01902 - Special Pedagogy: Speech Therapy» program; Sharapat Bekenova, a 2nd-year student in the «6B01901 - Special Pedagogy» (Inclusive Education) program; and 4th-year students of the «6B01901 - Special Pedagogy: Surdopedagogy» program, Altynay Taubai and Zhayna Naukebai.

Based on the results of the project presentations, the participants were awarded first, second, and third-degree diplomas.

At the conclusion of the seminar, a dynamic discussion took place, during which participants posed questions and offered suggestions for enhancing the scientific research activities of young scholars.
