International scientific and practical Akhmatov seminar

The Department of New Russian Literature IRL (Pushkin House) RAS (St. Petersburg, Russia) opened the work of the international scientific and practical Akhmatov seminar.

The first meeting of the seminar, timed to coincide with the 55th anniversary of the death of Anna Akhmatova was held on the day of memory of the poet at 5th March of 2021.

The program of the meeting included a report by the famous literary critic, researcher of Russian literature of the early twentieth century, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Hebrew University (Jerusalem) Roman Timenchik on the topic «The scope and boundaries of complex commenting on Akhmatova`s texts». Associate professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Zinaida Polyak took part in the seminar.

Scientists from Russia, Ukraine, Estonia, Israel, USA and other countries took part in the discussion of the report.
