Digital Citizenship of the Turkish World


On May 28, 2021, at the invitation of the Rector of the Kyrgyz-Turkish University «Manas», Acting Vice-Rector for Research and Digitization of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Sahiyev Sayabek, Director of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, Tanzharykova Alua, Head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation, Kulsun Abdrakhmanova took part in the international webinar «Digital Citizenship the Turkic world».


This project is an international scientific and methodological event initiated by the Rector of Manas University, Alparslan Ceylan, which unites the largest universities of the Turkic world. In addition to Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Russia, three universities of Kazakhstan participate in it, including our university. The main goal of the project is to bring together students, undergraduates and doctoral students studying at universities of Turkic countries, creating a stable dialogue in the digital environment, joint execution of elective and specialized seminars, coursework and diploma works, as well as assistance in the study of Turkic languages such as Kazakh, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Kyrgyz, Uzbek, Uyghur, Tatar, by the youth of the participating universities, support for Turkic language integration, recognition as a common Turkic alphabet of the new Kazakh alphabet, developed by a group of scientists under the leadership of Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Alimkhan Junusbek.

 

The project also has a practical purpose - to activate and promote the cultural and tourist potential of the Turkic countries. According to the agreement reached during the meeting, each university participating in the project will present an elective course on these topics for students. Students who have shown the best grades in the course of training will have the opportunity to study and relax for free on the «summer course» on the campuses of Turkish universities participating in the project during the summer holidays. At the webinar, the signing ceremony of the digital «Protocol of Cooperation» was held, and an agreement was reached to hold the next meeting offline in September this year in Bishkek. At the offline meeting, the Protocol on Cooperation will receive the status of a full-fledged Agreement, and the participating universities will begin to form their curriculum and the contingent of students and teachers on the basis of the action plan set out in today`s protocol.

 

The international webinar was organized and provided with simultaneous translation of Turkish-Kazakh-Turkish, Russian-Kazakh-Turkish languages by teachers of the Turkish language department Gulnaz Satbay, Nurzhamal Kospaganbetova, Yergali Esbosynov. The teachers completed the relevant documentation in Kazakh and foreign languages and translated into Kazakh the protocol of intent of the international project, the participating institutions, as well as their goals and interests. The webinar was held in a conscientious, constructive, businesslike atmosphere and received a high level of support from the leadership of Abai University.
