The decade of the science continues

Doctor of Philology, professor of the Chair of the Russian language and literature Mamatkul Mussataeva did an assembly lecture on the theme "Russian language in Kazakhstan`s reality condition" in the framework of the Decade of the science, where were 70 people, including 60 students, undergraduates and doctoral students.

At the lecture the functioning of the Russian language in Kazakhstan was considered in close relationship with the language situation, language policy and language planning in the background of the changings in ethnic and demographic characteristics.

The lecture was at a high scientific and theoretical level and intrigued a great interest among the audience. In this context it should be noted the special interest of students, which allows to judge their active citizenship and their indifference to the processes of language regulation in sovereign Kazakhstan.
