Zhunusbekova Aziza

BRIEF BIOGRAPHY

Aziza Zhunusbekova - PhD, Acting Associate Professor at the Department of Primary Education, Faculty of Pedagogy

and Psychology, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. She has over 12 years of combined research and teaching experience.

In 2015, she defended her doctoral dissertation on «Preparing Future Primary School Teachers for Managerial Activities» at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. By the decision of the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Sphere of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, she was awarded the degree of PhD in the specialty «6D010200 - Pedagogy and Methods of Primary Education» (No. 102 of February 4, 2016, ҒД № 0001077).

She is the recipient of the State Scientific Scholarship «Talented Young Scientist», awarded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (Order No. 216 dated December 28, 2022). By the decision of the Republican Commission for Training Personnel Abroad (December 20, 2023), she became a fellow of the international Bolashak program «500 Scientists». She completed a one-year research internship at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, USA, in 2024-2025, in the field of «Educational Research / Pedagogy».

RESEARCH ACTIVITIES

In the period from 2020-2025, more than 36 scientific papers were published, including 20 articles in publications recommended by the Committee for Quality Assurance in the Field of Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, publications in the international databases Web of Science (2) and Scopus (4), articles in foreign peer-reviewed journals and conference collections, one sole a monograph and a textbook in co-authorship.

Research interests include digital technologies in education, hybrid learning, micro- and nano-learning, the application of artificial intelligence in educational environments and its ethical aspects, as well as the development of digital, managerial, and entrepreneurial competencies of future teachers.

She is the scientific editor of the journal «Pedagogy and Psychology» at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, a reviewer for several domestic and international scientific journals, and a member of the Council of Young Researchers at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
