Brief autobiography

Sayfulmalikova Sabira Sabytkhanova studied at the Kazakh Pedagogical University named after. Abaya. In 1991, she graduated from the university with honors and was retained at the Department of History of Kazakhstan as a young specialist. In 1998 she defended her PhD thesis on the topic: "Military-political actions of tsarism in the 30-50s. XIX century in the Syrdarya basin and adjacent areas, in 2010 she defended her doctoral dissertation on the topic: "The Kazakh population of the Syrdarya, Trans-Caspian regions of Central Asia (political and economic aspects (1867-1917)." Specialist in the history of the pre-revolutionary period of Kazakhstan.

In 2023, under the international scholarship of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan under the Bolashak program, she completed a scientific internship at the Kazan Federal University under the "500 Scientists" project.

SCIENTIFIC ACTIVITY

The main directions of scientific research: the annexation of Kazakhstan to Russia, people`s liberation movements in the 19th - early. XX centuries, socio-economic, political situation of Kazakhstan, relations of the Kazakhs with the Kokand, Khiva Khanate and the Bukhara Emirate, Kazakh-Turkmen, Kazakh-Karakalpak relations, history of public education, scientific institutions in the second half of the 19th - early 20th centuries.

She participated in the project "Gender and Kazakh Society" of the Ebert Foundation, in the encyclopedia project "History of Kazakhstan".
