International scientific and practical conference "Priority values of New Kazakhstan: from innovative ideas of teachers of the XX century to modern innovations in education"

On April 25, 2025, the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of KazNPU named after Abai held an International scientific and practical conference "Priority values of New Kazakhstan: from innovative ideas of teachers of the XX century to modern innovations in education" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, the 100th anniversary of the People`s Teacher of the USSR Kumash Nurgaliev.

According to the conference program, at 9.30 a.m. there was a solemn opening ceremony of the auditorium named after the National Teacher of the USSR Kumash Nurgaliev (Decision of the Academic Council of the University) in the 1st academic building of KazNPU named after Abaya, office No. 409. In his opening speech, the Chairman of the Board, Rector of NAO KazNPU named after Bolat Tlep expressed pride that Kumash Nurgaliyev is a graduate of the historical faculty of KazPI named after Abai and that holding this conference is an expression of appreciation to an outstanding teacher, a true mentor of Kazakhstani youth, whose legacy continues to inspire new generations.

The plenary session began with an introductory speech by the Chairman of the Board, Rector of NAO KazNPU named after Abaya" Bolat Tlep. Rector of the University B. Tlep read out a welcoming speech on behalf of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek. The conference participants watched the film "The School of Kumash Nurgaliev", which presented the entire life of the hero of the day. Government and public figures of the Republic of Kazakhstan B. Aitimova, R. Shimasheva, A. Mirazova, S. Ferkho also delivered welcoming speeches about the life and work of Kumash Nurgaliyev. The director of the Institute of Pedagogy of St. Petersburg State University, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, professor Ye. Kazakova made a presentation on the topic "Dreams of teachers of the XX century to the XXI century: reflections on the Nurgaliev school". A report on the topic: "Continuing education: a modern view" was made by Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Pedagogy of the Ya. Kupala Grodno State University, Corresponding member. Member of the Belarusian Academy of Education, member of the European Council of Scientists in the field of International Education Tarantey V.P.

Pisareva; - N. Chekaleva, Director of the Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Education, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Education, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor (Omsk, Russia), whose topic was: "Value and semantic foundations of the development of modern education."

On the topic "Teacher and student as subjects of pedagogical interaction in the modern world". T. Bokova, Deputy Director of the Institute of Foreign Languages of the Moscow City Pedagogical University (MGPU), Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Education (Moscow, Russia), spoke on behalf of a group of Moscow scientists. Kazakh scientists shared their memories of the life and work of Kumash Nurgaliev: A. Kusainov, S. Mazhitov, S. Uzakbayeva and the daughter of the National teacher of the USSR Kumash Nurgalievich Gul Nurgaliev. The conference discussed topical issues of modern education, outlined prospects and strategies for the development of pedagogical science in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The conference discussed topical issues of modern education, outlined prospects and strategies for the development of pedagogical science in the Republic of Kazakhstan. The conference was held online and offline, and was attended by scientists from Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Tajikistan. The conference was attended by over 100 people.
